Sue Payton Wildlife Art
Sue Payton Wildlife Art: After a background in science, Sue started painting when she moved to Shropshire from Wolverhampton in 1999 and found herself at home, looking after her young family.  Self taught, she initially painted local landscapes in watercolour, before trying oils and starting to painting wildlife in 2013. Having always been interested in animals, she became hooked and went on to exhibit and win awards with both the Association of Animal Artists and in the National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists.

Sue now paints in acrylics (since 2019) and often finds herself drawn to paint endangered mammals, especially carnivores such as big cats, African wild dogs and wolves. Many of her paintings are detailed portraits, as she loves to capture the eyes and the texture of the fur.
