A Muddy Delight
The artwork depicts a group of baby elephants frolicking in a shallow pool of water. Mud splatters and splashes as they roll around. Moreover, the adult elephants watch over them. It emphasizes the protective nature of the herd. The background features a dense forest. This provides a natural and captivating backdrop.
Capturing the Moment
Haddon skillfully captures the texture of the elephants’ skin, wet and glistening with mud. The dynamic poses and playful interactions create a sense of movement and energy. Additionally, the subtle variations in the elephants’ grey tones add depth and realism. Thus, the artist uses light to enhance the playful atmosphere.
