Sunset Serenade
The image captures a breathtaking sunset at Holywell Bay in Cornwall. The setting sun casts a warm, golden glow across the tranquil waters. As a result, the sky displays a vibrant array of colours – from fiery oranges and reds to soft pinks and blues. Two distinctive rock formations stand silhouetted against the brilliant sky.
Coastal Calm
Furthermore, the foreground showcases the beach at low tide, revealing intricate patterns in the wet sand. The reflections of the sunset shimmer on the water’s surface. In addition, this creates a visually stunning contrast between the rough texture of the rocks and the smooth, reflective surface of the water.
Nature’s Masterpiece
Moreover, the composition is perfectly balanced, with the rock formations acting as a central focal point. This creates a sense of peace and serenity. Consequently, Paul masterfully captures the interplay of light and shadow, creating a dramatic yet harmonious scene. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and romantic.
A Cornish Dream
Finally, this framed print brings the beauty of a Cornish sunset into any home. It is a perfect choice for anyone who appreciates dramatic landscapes and tranquil scenes.
Paul Haddon Biography
Discovery of Photography
Paul Haddon discovered his passion for photography at age 14. He started taking pictures with his dad’s film camera, capturing moments with Rebel, his German Shepherd. Eager to understand photography’s technical side, Paul enrolled in a night school course. Within two years, he achieved both “O” and “A” level standards in photography.
Unique Exploration
Paul enjoyed photographing unusual subjects such as cemeteries in the magical, eerie light of late nights. These explorations often frightened him, yet fueled his creativity. Eventually, work and family commitments shifted his priorities, and photography took a back seat. However, nearly 20 years later, the advent of digital photography reignited his interest. Paul couldn’t resist; he purchased his first digital camera.
Commercial Success
Paul’s first commercial achievement came with a panoramic montage of the Back Beach in Teignmouth, sold in his restaurant. As demand for his framed photography grew, he ventured into the picture framing and Fine Art industries. This journey eventually led to the creation of Haddon Galleries in Torquay.
Ongoing Adventures
Now, Paul travels to exotic locations to photograph a variety of subjects, including wildlife, street life, landscapes, and seascapes. Nature and the world around him continue to inspire and amaze him.
