Along the Banks Paul Haddon Photography
Whispers of the Stream
The image presents a captivating scene of a tranquil stream meandering through a lush, verdant landscape. Smooth, moss-covered rocks punctuate the water’s flow. The stream’s gentle current creates a blurred, ethereal effect, suggesting a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Autumnal hues paint the surrounding trees, adding warmth to the scene.
Forest Embrace
Furthermore, the vibrant green foliage thrives along the banks, contrasting beautifully with the rocks and the softer colours of the trees. A sense of depth is created by the layering of vegetation and the diminishing perspective of the stream. Sunlight filters through the trees, illuminating the scene subtly. The overall feeling is one of quietude and natural beauty.
Timeless Tranquility
Moreover, the composition is balanced, leading the eye along the stream’s path. The use of natural light enhances the textures and colours of the scene. Subsequently, this creates an immersive experience for the viewer. Finally, this framed piece would bring a touch of nature’s serenity to any interior.
Paul Haddon Biography
Discovery of Photography
Paul Haddon discovered his passion for photography at age 14. He started taking pictures with his dad’s film camera, capturing moments with Rebel, his German Shepherd. Eager to understand photography’s technical side, Paul enrolled in a night school course. Within two years, he achieved both “O” and “A” level standards in photography.
Unique Exploration
Paul enjoyed photographing unusual subjects such as cemeteries in the magical, eerie light of late nights. These explorations often frightened him, yet fueled his creativity. Eventually, work and family commitments shifted his priorities, and photography took a back seat. However, nearly 20 years later, the advent of digital photography reignited his interest. Paul couldn’t resist; he purchased his first digital camera.
Commercial Success
Paul’s first commercial achievement came with a panoramic montage of the Back Beach in Teignmouth, sold in his restaurant. As demand for his framed photography grew, he ventured into the picture framing and Fine Art industries. This journey eventually led to the creation of Haddon Galleries in Torquay.
Ongoing Adventures
Now, Paul travels to exotic locations to photograph a variety of subjects, including wildlife, street life, landscapes, and seascapes. Nature and the world around him continue to inspire and amaze him.
