Born in London in 1959, John Skinner discovered his passion for painting while living in Newcastle two decades later. Lacking formal training, he developed a distinct technique that defies convention, resulting in the uniquely jeweled quality evident in his watercolours.

A New Home and Inspiration
Now residing in Teignmouth with his family, John finds inspiration in the natural beauty of his surroundings. He often wanders along the estuary, moorlands, and coastal paths, allowing the landscape to influence his work.
