A Night’s Embrace
This stunning Giclée print by Paul Haddon captures the magic of Torquay at twilight. Moreover, the image showcases Corbyn Head, with its vibrant promenade bathed in the warm glow of lights. The colours reflect beautifully in the calm waters; as a result, the scene feels serene and captivating.
Coastal Charm
Buildings line the hillside, adding depth to the composition. In addition, a hotel stands out, illuminated, a beacon in the gathering darkness. This detail adds a touch of grandeur to the overall image. Specifically, the colours are rich and varied.
Light’s Dance
The lights along the seafront create a mesmerizing effect. Indeed, they seem to dance on the water’s surface. This adds to the dreamlike quality. Furthermore, the long exposure skillfully captures the movement of the cars, enhancing the dynamism of the piece.
Artistic Brilliance
The artist masterfully blends light and shadow. As a consequence, this creates a sense of depth and mystery. Therefore, the print is a testament to Haddon’s skill. Finally, the framed piece is ready to grace your home, adding a touch of sophistication to any space.

Discovery of Photography
At the age of 14 Paul Haddon discovered his passion for photography. He started taking pictures with his dad’s film camera, capturing moments with Rebel, his German Shepherd. Eager to understand photography’s technical side, Paul enrolled in a night school course. Within two years, he achieved both “O” and “A” level standards in photography.
Unique Exploration
He enjoyed photographing unusual subjects such as cemeteries in the magical, eerie light of late nights which fueled his creativity. Eventually, work and family commitments shifted his priorities, and photography took a back seat. However, nearly 20 years later, the advent of digital photography reignited his interest. Paul couldn’t resist; he purchased his first digital camera.
Commercial Success
Paul’s first commercial achievement came with a panoramic montage of the Back Beach in Teignmouth, sold in his restaurant. As demand for his framed photography grew, he ventured into the picture framing and Fine Art industries. This journey eventually led to the creation of Haddon Galleries in Torquay.
Ongoing Adventures
Now, Paul travels to exotic locations to photograph a variety of subjects, including wildlife, street life, landscapes, and seascapes. Nature and the world around him continue to inspire and amaze him.
