Shades of Autumn by Paul Haddon Photography
Autumnal Serenity
Shades of Autumn by Paul Haddon Photography This framed print captures a breath-taking autumnal scene. A tranquil stream meanders through a lush woodland. Moreover, moss-covered rocks line the riverbanks, adding texture and depth. The scene evokes a sense of peace and tranquillity.
Canopy of Colour
The trees, draped in shades of green, gold, and russet, create a vibrant canopy. Consequently, the colours are rich and inviting. In addition, the light filters through the leaves, illuminating the scene. This creates a warm and magical atmosphere.
Enchanting Woodland
A large, moss-covered oak tree dominates the foreground. Furthermore, its branches stretch out majestically, adding a sense of scale and drama. The overall composition is exquisitely balanced and harmonious. Ultimately, the result is a truly captivating image.

Early Inspiration
At just 14 years old, Paul Haddon discovered his passion for photography when he picked up his dad’s film camera. He spent hours capturing moments with his best friend, Rebel, a German Shepherd. This newfound interest led Paul to enroll in a night school photography course, where he mastered both “O” and “A” level standards within two years.
Pursuit of Unusual Subjects
Paul has always had a fascination with photographing unusual subjects. He remembers haunting cemeteries during late hours, eager to capture that magical play of light on gravestones and churches, sometimes frightening himself in the process. Although work and family commitments temporarily halted his photography pursuits, the advent of digital photography rekindled his enthusiasm two decades later. He eagerly bought his first digital camera to explore the art form again.
Commercial Success and New Ventures
Paul’s first commercial success was a panoramic montage of the Back Beach in Teignmouth, which he sold in his restaurant. As demand for his framed photography grew, he ventured into the picture framing and Fine Art industries. This journey led to the creation of Haddon Galleries in Torquay.
Exploring the World
Today, Paul has the opportunity to travel to exotic locations, capturing an array of subjects from wildlife to street life and landscapes to seascapes. He finds endless amazement and inspiration in nature and the beauty of our world. Transitioning from film to digital photography has allowed Paul to pursue his passion with renewed vigour and creativity.
