A Lion Cub’s Gaze
This captivating photograph showcases a young lion cub, its amber eyes captivating the viewer. The cub’s expression is one of both curiosity and gentle mischief. It rests its head near a weathered log, creating a stunning contrast between the soft fur and the rugged wood.
Golden Hues of the Savannah
The colours are warm and natural, reflecting the sun-drenched savanna of its habitat. Subtle variations in tone beautifully highlight the cub’s fine fur. Furthermore, the background is subtly blurred, drawing focus to the lion cub itself. Additionally, the image is sharply focused, capturing exquisite detail in its fur.
Whispers of the Wild
The photograph evokes a sense of peace and wildness. Ultimately, it captures a fleeting moment in the life of this magnificent creature. Moreover, it invites the viewer to contemplate the beauty and fragility of the natural world. Consequently, it’s a perfect piece for those who appreciate wildlife photography.
Paul Haddon Biography
Discovery of Photography
Paul Haddon discovered his passion for photography at age 14. He started taking pictures with his dad’s film camera, capturing moments with Rebel, his German Shepherd. Eager to understand photography’s technical side, Paul enrolled in a night school course. Within two years, he achieved both “O” and “A” level standards in photography.
Unique Exploration
Paul enjoyed photographing unusual subjects such as cemeteries in the magical, eerie light of late nights. These explorations often frightened him, yet fueled his creativity. Eventually, work and family commitments shifted his priorities, and photography took a back seat. However, nearly 20 years later, the advent of digital photography reignited his interest. Paul couldn’t resist; he purchased his first digital camera.
Commercial Success
Paul’s first commercial achievement came with a panoramic montage of the Back Beach in Teignmouth, sold in his restaurant. As demand for his framed photography grew, he ventured into the picture framing and Fine Art industries. This journey eventually led to the creation of Haddon Galleries in Torquay.
Ongoing Adventures
Now, Paul travels to exotic locations to photograph a variety of subjects, including wildlife, street life, landscapes, and seascapes. Nature and the world around him continue to inspire and amaze him.
