‘Help’ Screamed Mrs Twit by Quentin Blake & Roald Dahl
A Moment of Ghoulish Glee
This striking Giclée print captures one of the most hilarious pranks from The Twits. Mrs Twit looks absolutely horrified as she discovers a “Giant Skillywiggler” in her bed. Meanwhile, the mischievous Mr Twit watches the scene with hidden delight. Quentin Blake uses his masterly, scratchy ink lines to depict their chaotic bedroom. Furthermore, the soft watercolour washes bring a sense of atmosphere to this classic scene. Every detail perfectly embodies the darkly comic nature of Roald Dahl’s writing. Consequently, fans of the story will immediately recognise this iconic, revolting moment.
A Match Made in Literary Heaven
The collaboration between Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake remains the most famous in children’s publishing. They first worked together on The Enormous Crocodile during the late seventies. Since then, Blake’s illustrations have become the definitive visual interpretation of Dahl’s imaginative worlds. Dahl often felt that Quentin’s energetic sketches captured his characters better than any other artist. Moreover, Blake understood the delicate balance between the grotesque and the whimsical. Because of this shared vision, their books continue to captivate readers across the globe. Therefore, this print celebrates forty years of unparalleled creative synergy.
Exquisite Quality for Collectors
This limited edition artwork arrives in a beautiful, white wooden frame. The clean lines of the frame ensure that the vibrant illustration remains the focal point.
