Caroline has been painting since childhood, being inspired by the old masters as she was fascinated by their realism. When studying at Central Saint Martin’s her eyes were opened to new ideas and techniques. She was captivated both by surrealism and impressionism and much of her work now combines elements from these eras.
After college she worked as a freelance artist in the commercial sector, undertaking bespoke commissions from businesses throughout the country, from large abstracts to intricate murals. Caroline has recently been painting without a strict brief and her work has developed immeasurably, incorporating different aspects from her past commissions with the freedom to choose her own direction.
