For me the artwork I create and my daily practice of yoga are interlinked: My figurative paintings are a joyous expression of my wild surroundings and the benefits of the practice of yoga to mind, body and soul.  love to combine the unique colours in the landscape here on the Devon coast with the meditational aspects of my yoga practice. I use a fresh natural palette from my surroundings and create sketches on my walks. These inspire me to create my works on paper and canvas back in my studio.

I was born in Plymouth, Devon where I grew up in small rural community. As a child I learnt that drawing always made me happy, I would sit for hours drawing with my Grandmother who was a glass engraver, I drew figures on any scrap of paper. Whenever I paint it instills that same feeling of home and family in me.

After studying Illustration I travelled to Scotland and became an artist in residence at a remote arts commune in Scotland, experimenting with painting techniques out in nature and exploring how to communicate through my images. My lifelong passion for figure drawing was fulfilled when I was accepted to study in Florence Italy, becoming a student of academic portraiture at the Atelier of the Florence Art Academy.Working with a mixed media technique I now combine these classical drawing elements with a spontaneity of movement,

I have gained a huge amount of experience with portraiture from working on commissioned paintings in London and internationally for luxury events for some wonderful people. My artwork has been published internationally with sell-out exhibitions in London, New York, Dallas and Dubai. The first set of limited edition prints, published by a major publisher sold out within weeks.

I realise I am compelled to paint and art has continued to be a trusted friend to me through good and difficult times in my life, making me who I am.
