Hattie Bear by Richard Cooper

These highly detailed miniature solid bronze sculptures are made from solid foundry bronze metal, and so feel weighty for their size. Butler and Peach is a collection of individually sculpted miniature animals in solid bronze. Each sculpture is presented in a beautiful quality cloth pouch in an attractive Butler and Peach gift box.

The Border Terrier is a British breed that originated along the border region between England and Scotland in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was developed as a hardy hunting dog, primarily used for controlling foxes and other varmints in rough terrain. The breed was valued for its agility, intelligence, and perseverance, making it an excellent working dog for small game and burrowing animals.

The Border Terrier’s lineage includes crosses with other terriers, such as the Bedlington, Whippet, and the local terriers, which contributed to its distinctive appearance and hunting capabilities. Its compact size, wiry coat, and lively personality made it popular among farmers and hunters.

The breed was officially recognized in the early 20th century, with the Kennel Club in the UK registering it in 1920. Since then, the Border Terrier has also gained popularity as a family pet and shows dog, admired for its friendly nature, trainability, and low-maintenance coat.

Today, the Border Terrier remains a beloved breed both for working roles and as a companion animal worldwide.
