Villalba was born in Alicante in 1968. He studied at the School of Fine Arts and Crafts in his hometown and later in San Carlos Art School in Valencia….
With his technique using dense and bold brush strokes he achieves a set of contrast, preferably in the range of warm nuances. His paintings are a constant improvisation to the eye viewer.
The figures appearing on his paintings reach an appealing expressively and sensation of harmony in the performance. Within the oil he dominates many issues, but his specialty is the Venetian subjects, a theme that vibrates with the sharpness colours, combining it perfectly with soft tones and loose brush strokes that achieve a harmonious combination in each canvas.
