Noah by Gary Walton
Gary Walton’s limited edition Giclee print, “Noah,” presents a whimsical and imaginative coastal scene. This work immediately captivates the viewer with its surreal composition and dreamlike atmosphere. It invites them to explore a world where the ordinary is transformed into the extraordinary.
Coastal Fantasy
The artwork features a peculiar coastal landscape, with houses and a lighthouse elevated above the water on stilts. A charming boat named “Noah” sits gently on the shore. The soft, muted color palette, dominated by blues and greys, creates a tranquil and serene ambiance. The subtle details, like the reflection of the moon on the water and the gentle waves lapping at the shore, add depth and realism to the scene.
Floating Wonders
In addition, the composition of the image is striking, with the elevated houses and lighthouse creating a sense of weightlessness. The boat, adorned with colorful pennants, adds a touch of playfulness and warmth to the scene. Walton’s signature style is evident in the imaginative composition and meticulous detailing.
Surreal Seascape
The square format enhances the balanced and harmonious feel of the artwork. Furthermore, the contrast between the grounded boat and the floating structures creates a captivating visual dynamic. Overall, “Noah” is not only a delightful piece of art. However, it also sparks the imagination. It invites viewers to create their own stories about this surreal coastal world.
About Gary
Gary Walton discovered a natural gift for painting at an early age, excelling at all things creative throughout his school years. His remarkable technical ability lead to a successful career in graphic design, where he continued to hone his draughtsmanship. At first painting only in his spare time, Waltons unique style gradually developed into the instantly recognizable works of today.
Influenced by the surrealist paintings of Salvador Dali, Waltons paintings depict ethereal scenes, blurring the line between dream and reality. Many of his works, in fact, start life as dreams; images seen in his sleep are translated onto canvas with astonishing clarity. Of his inspirations, Walton states I looked deep inside myself to create my individual style of art It took time to adapt my passion for surrealism to bring my work to life until my creation was born.
Despite having resided inland over recent years, Waltons affection for the coast is evident in many of his works, with boats, beach huts and lighthouses a recurring motif. Whimsical buildings inhabit the rolling hills of his landscapes, providing both the audience and artist with a means to escape to his fantastical locations.
Since becoming a full- time artist Waltons style has continued to develop, with an ever-growing army of collectors relishing each new collection.
