Early Inspiration and Achievements

Laura Wall is a vibrant, contemporary, and award-winning artist based in Devon. She was originally from Kent but moved to Devon in 2001. Here, the area’s burgeoning art community truly inspired her. Captivated by art from a young age, Laura took her art GCSE a year early. Encouraged by her teachers and family, she achieved the highest grade possible. By seventeen, Laura was exhibiting in galleries across Devon with her portrait series. Her work won numerous awards and competitions.

Academic Pursuits and Exploration

At eighteen, Laura received a scholarship to Aberystwyth University of Wales. She earned a first-class honours degree in Fine Art and Illustration. These three years prompted Laura to experiment with new themes and ideas. Shortly after university, she worked as an edit assistant at a television company. Although dedicated to her job, Laura’s passion for art remained strong.

Transition to a Full-Time Art Career

After three years in broadcasting, Laura decided to pursue her art career. She became a full-time artist, driven by her passion. Laura created the series “Love at the Seaside,” which focuses on a couple at different life stages. This endearing couple and their dog appear in various places around the Southwest.

New Ventures and Exciting Work

Laura’s latest series, “Love in the City,” introduces a vibrant color palette. It has captivated collectors across the country. Her journey continues to excite and inspire, reflecting her dynamic and creative spirit.
